“Simon Guobadia Suspects Ex-Wife Orchestrated ICE Ordeal”

In a fresh turn of events, businessman Simon Guobadia has pointed to a possible coincidence between his brief detainment by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the financial settlement concerning his impending divorce from Real Housewife of Atlanta star, Porsha Williams. The Nigerian oil tycoon shared his suspicions and experiences in a recent interview with US Weekly.

In February, Guobadia was held at ICE’s Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia. Barely a day or two before season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered, ICE agents intercepted him upon his arrival from an overseas flight and took possession of his computers and phones.

Expressing surprise at the abrupt encounter, Guobatchi shared, “They basically came and told me that I was being detained and that they would be taking me in, and I’ll be seeing a judge at some point. So, they slapped the cuffs on and I was taken away.”

Contemplating the reasons behind the incident, Guobadia shared that he felt like a target as the agents seemed to have no specific reason for detaining him. He hinted at the possibility of interference from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Williams, suggesting that either she or someone related to her may have alerted ICE about his arrival.

Guobadia claimed to US Weekly, “It’s possible. I just don’t know. I don’t have all the facts. I am dealing with those behind her, the powers behind her that, obviously, would like to see her succeed and ensure that the investment in this person will come to fruition. So, I was not totally oblivious to the possibilities of…some interference.” However, a source close to Williams dismissed these insinuations as being entirely unfounded.

Equating the incident to a nightmare, Guobadia spoke about his time in ICE detention. Despite the challenges, he highlighted his resilience and ability to cope. Facing stringent conditions of confinement and limited resources, he initially kept to a segregated unit for safety reasons and then chose to mingle with the general population.

On a more interesting note, Guobadia sent a message to President Donald Trump, sharing that he held no animosity for his administration’s controversial immigration policies and saw a kinship with the POTUS due to their shared Gemini sign.

Meanwhile, an additional financial burden was seemingly shouldered by Williams, as she gently confirmed that she had paid Guobadia’s child support and home maintenance expenses while he was in detention.
