Our favorite reality TV couple, the Southern Belle Lydia Gonzalez and smooth talkin’ Milton Johnson from season five of Love Is Blind, are officially swiping left on their love story after three years of holy matrimony. Lovers and skeptics alike got the steaming dish straight from the horse’s mouth on that snug podcast, ‘What’s the Reality?’ hosted by fellow reality star and indiscriminate tea supplier, Amber Desiree “AD” Smith. Lydia, our gal, all of 33, admitted that life post-fame had been nothing short of a roller coaster ride with heartbreak at the helm, thanks to her emotional shipwreck with young Mr. Milton, 27.
She let us in on the dish that their seeming golden relationship wasn’t tarnished by a single dark cloud, but a whole monsoon! The lady confessed, “It was a layer of situations and things that kept piling up…” and bam, she drops the D-word. More shocking? The alleged soon-to-be Ex-Mr. Gonzalez’s response was, he demanded an NDA before signing the divorce papers!
Lydia spoke to us in no uncertain terms about suffering in silence, the burden of carrying that weight finally pushing her to bare it all. She firmly stated in the podcast that the seven-year age gap wasn’t the villain, but it ran deeper; down to Milton’s emotional maturity and support. “Maybe the internet was right, that he wasn’t ready for marriage… I don’t think he was ready to be a husband,” she said with a brutal honesty that makes us respect her move.

According to our girl, things went south right after their first fight, apparently over Milton’s contact with an ex-girlfriend. Further, Lydia spoke on the insensitivity Milton showed after her fibromyalgia diagnosis. Instead of pitching in and being supportive, she found herself struggling with the everyday chores while battling her chronic illness. “There’s been a lot of grief, heartbreak,” she bravely said. But hey, she also spoke of growth and strength, and we’re here cheering for her!
