Young Hollywood star and renowned host Keke Palmer has finally disclosed the intriguing secret behind her son Leodis’ distinctive name on the House Guest podcast hosted by Scott Evans. Joining the league of celebs opting for unique names for their little ones, Keke’s origin story for her son’s name is as amusing as it is endearing.
The former child star, in high spirits, confessed that Leodis’ name was a result of an offbeat rom-com like a scenario spun by her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson. The story unfolded when Darius decided to amalgamate Keke’s real name, Lauren, with his to create the distinctive ‘Leodis’. Further, Keke humorously related Leodis’ name to hailing from a bygone era, going as far as to imagine him marching side by side with Martin Luther King Jr.
“Darius actually made his name. He wanted both our names, which is so crazy,” She indeed made us chuckle when she jokingly shared her visions of her now two-year-old son’s future potential political campaign, “it’s like Leodis Andrellton Jackson. He’s gonna be on somebody’s campaign.”
She further implicated her parents in the practice of creating names from their own, hinting at her sister Lawrencia’s name. “My parents did that same stuff”, which clearly follows a pattern, combining her mother’s and father’s name, Lawrence, to create Lawrencia.
